In life, we are often presented with challenges that may make us feel overwhelmed, depressed, anxious, or unsure of ourselves. While these emotions can be difficult, they also provide us with opportunities for introspection and to recognize the strengths that lie within us. No matter how difficult or painful the situation feels at the moment, there is a way to become whole and/or feel like yourself again, and live to your greatest potential. It is good to remember that breakdown often precedes breakthrough.
I focus on themes and schemas that underline issues you might be experiencing. At any point, we are doing the best we can. As a therapist, I believe that my clients are the true experts on their own lives. I provide a safe and comfortable environment where you can truly date yourself and together, we discover what works the best for you. I am here to listen, offer support and guidance on your journey.
I can help with general mental, emotional and behavioral issues and I will tailor my approach to your individual needs.
With a lifelong desire to serve and help others and with rich background in yoga, body-mind and mindfulness practices, I pursued a formal education in counseling. I earned my degree from New York University in Mental Health Counseling & Wellness and became a therapist. I believe that we are more than a diagnosis and I tailor my approach to the needs of every individual. In my approach, I pay attention to psychosocial, biological, emotional, behavioral and spiritual dimensions of each client. We are all unique and no part of us is to be overlooked.
Together, we set goals for therapy and we will utilize an approach that will help you to obtain the best results possible.
I utilize CBT, mindfulness-based as well as psychodynamic, transpersonal and attachment-based approach. I also employ EMDR and trauma-informed counseling when appropriate.
